Roma con le sue cupole

Tra le diverse composizioni di paesaggio architettonico di Roma vediamo come l’artista, in questo caso, usa una tecnica diversa. Già nelle lontane vedute di Roma di altre tele, ci accorgiamo come le pianure e le case assumono la forma di piccoli tasselli di colore. D’altronde l’artista rappresenta “Roma con le sue cupole” vista dai tetti, dove spunta un campanile con orologio che segna le ore cinque, una cupola in alto a destra e due statue su piedistallo, una al centro del quadro color verde acqua e l’altra sulla sinistra color arancio. Sono accennate, con breve e virtuosa pennellata, i margini delle tegole su uno sfondo che sfuma dall’arancio al giallo. Piccole campiture di colore verdi, bianche, e color carta da zucchero si intersecano e si sovrappongono creando armonia cromatica e movimento. Tutto è sintetizzato nella forma espressiva del colore, rivelando una Roma variopinta vivace e connessa sempre alla storia.
Amongst the different compositions of the architectural landscapes of Rome, we can see how the artist, in this case, uses a different technique. In the distant views of Rome on other canvases, we can see that the ground and the houses take shape from small spurts of color. On the other hand, the artist represents “Rome with it’s domes” seen from the rooftops, there is a bell tower with a clock indicating five o’clock, a dome in the top right and two statues on a base , one in the center of the painting acqua green and the other on the left is orange. The edges of the shingles are outlined with short and virtuous brush strokes,the background that fades from orange into yellow. Shades of green, white, and avion blue mix and overlap creating chromatic harmony and movement. Everything is summed up by the expressive form of color, revealing a colorful and lively Rome always connected to history.
